Last Friday, Izabell starting spitting up at her feedings. We assumed it was pretty normal and did not think anything of it. On Tuesday she began projectile vomiting after each of her feedings. We took her to Cook's urgent care. They started an IV (mom and dad did not like to see her so upset). They also did a sonogram and found that she has Pyloric Stenosis. This means that the opening between her stomach and small intestine is very small (size of a coffee straw) and food can't pass through. This usually doesn't present itself until 3-4 weeks. We caught it early. They called the on call surgeon at Cook's downtown Ft. Worth and we were transported by ambulance (because of her IV). The surgery is scheduled for 11:30 today and should only take about an hour.
This has been so difficult to watch our little one go through something like this at such a young age. Today she is 4 weeks old. Thank you in advance for your prayers! We know God will watch over her.
